LAGUNA YANACOCHA (FULL DAY TREKKING)
Itinerary
We have chosen this beautiful lagoon of the cordillera of Urubamba for its very little visits and for its easy access. It is a place for the Incan ceremonies of payment to the earth and to the Apus, thanking for all the goodness that life gives us.
We will begin our tour early in the morning, being taken from Cusco to the town of Wayoqari in the Sacred Valley from where we will begin our ascend to the lagoon. It is not a very difficult ascend, we will trek for three hours passing by magnificent high Andean landscapes crossing through forests, small towns of agriculture and streams until arriving to the lagoon.
After a rest and a light lunch we will have time to enjoy the lagoon, waterfall and forest.
Ultimately, we will have our ritual ceremony of payment to the divine Inkas, finishing with a meditation aimed at reconnecting with our inner nature and the universe around us.
The descend is a light and fast trek, lasting no more than an hour and a half where we will return to Wayoqari and take our private transport back to Cusco.
